How much coating information does my measurement actually contain?
Naturally, information shares of the whole measurement information of an indentation measurement allocate to the instrument, indenter, coating(s), substrate and – if present – interlayers etc. The software IndentChecker enables you to find out how useful your measurement really was with respect to the analysis of coating properties. And, therefore, IndentChecker allows you to answer the introducing question.
Example of a measurement analysis by the IndentChecker showing that the information share of the coating in the checked measurement is too small.
